When life gets demanding, date night and our own selves is the first thing to get put on the back burner. News Flash dates don't have to be expensive or super long evenings. Under two hours is the sweet spot for a date that can be easily penciled in your planner but doesn't feel like a chore. Here are Five quick, fun and affordable date night ideas for the perpetually busy couple.

Get You A Groupon (Tiffany Haddish Voice)

Groupon has amazing deals from couple massages, two for one dinner or even hiking if your up for an adventure. Grab the Groupon and set the date on date of purchase so you let it go to waste.

Cook dinner and make it themed: Choose a theme and center everything you do around it. For example, if you choose an Italian theme, you could eat spaghetti and gelato, then watch a movie like The Italian Job or Life is Beautiful. Some other fun theme ideas: Mexican, Asian, Christmas, Kid’s theme, 1950’s (or any decade), etc, etc.

Take a Bath Together:  A long bathtub date is just as sexy as skinny-dipping, only far more intimate. So set aside time for a hot, steamy tub session for two. Use therapeutic rubs and luxurious scrubs and oils to get each other squeaky-clean, silky soft and gloriously uninhibited.

Go on a picnic. Summer is here go outside (even if it’s in your own backyard). Make some sandwiches, Bring games and wine if necessary.

Netflicks and Chill have a series marathon.

Remember when “Netflix and chill” meant just marathoning Law & Order episodes over a few glasses of wine and take out?  That was wasn't that long ago until folks changed the meaning of it to just wanting to hook up. Bring it back this time check out 13 reasons why or your favorite Series

Take some personality tests and compare your results. Here are some good ones: Jung, True Colors, The 5 Love Languages, and The Color Code
